What changes

Author and last-saved-by metadata are normalized. Descriptive/custom properties and identifying extended properties can be removed. Word documents retain their existing DOCX-specific cleanup, while PowerPoint files receive equivalent package-level cleanup where applicable.

What stays safe

Normal mode creates a new DOCX or PPTX and does not intentionally alter visible document/slide content, formatting, or images.
