Privacy at Syntecian
Syntecian tools are designed to minimize unnecessary exposure of user data. Different tools process information differently, so review the notes shown inside the tool you are using.
Testing retention
Some tools are currently configured for testing and troubleshooting. Where temporary files are retained, the tool itself displays the retention period and deletion behavior.
Do not upload sensitive material while testing
Until a tool is explicitly marked production-ready, do not upload confidential, legally privileged, medical, financial, identity, employment, student-record, trade-secret, or other highly sensitive documents.
Password Generator
The Syntecian Password Generator creates passwords locally in the browser. Generated passwords are not sent to the server by the generator page.
Vault and Cleaner
Vault and Cleaner may temporarily process uploaded files on the server to perform the requested operation. Protected storage areas are configured to block direct web access, and testing retention information is displayed within those tools.
Authorship and metadata
Changing document metadata does not prove who wrote, edited, researched, or owned a document. Use document-cleaning tools only on files you are authorized to modify and never to misrepresent authorship or editing history.
Questions
This privacy page will continue to evolve as Syntecian moves individual tools from testing to production.
